Shadow Stitching

This series of drawings is made up of stitched thread on paper. I had been observing how shadows move and shift in the in-between spaces of trees, people in chairs, and various other places and that inspired me to created this series of shadow stitchings.

These "Shadow Stitch" pieces measure about 4 inches tall each and were completed based upon drawings of negative spaces--looking at the shadows being cast in spaces.
