The Deluge.

A deluge of emotion threatens to overwhelm the creator of these objects. Precious, soft, domestic nesting--a protection against being inundated by lived experience.

Thematically I have been exploring works that navigate the territory of the emotional deluge. Emotions and memories as the flotsam and jetsam (the cargo thrown overboard to save the ship; the cargo lost at sea) of lived experience.

Here they are tiny crochet spoons, hand printed and coffee dyed fabrics, embroidered and quilted words, elaborate checkbook cozies.
